Hello, my name is Thomas de Wilde (I also go by Nychus, Nychothomas, Stegonychus and several more) and I am the writer of the Azulyssey. I wrote it two years ago when the show ended as I felt like some major questions had been left unanswered. Aang’s story was pretty much done, Azula’s story however had merely begun in my opinion, and then of course there was the issue of Ursa that had to be resolved. Not liking loose ends the muse totally struck me and I started writing this story and continued for about two months. Though I noticed there is room for improvement, now that I’ve read it again 2 years later, I still think it’s one of the best things I’ve ever written. Nevertheless, I am planning to make changes to the story, the story line will be the same, but the writing could use some improvement in some places, despite the compliments I got for it. The story as it is uploaded now however is still exactly the same as the one I posted at fanfiction.net two years ago.
I obviously do not own avatar: the last airbender or its universe and characters. Technically speaking I don’t even own this story anymore, since putting it online pretty much made it public domain. However I did come up with it and with some of the characters in it. Out of common courtesy I’d kindly ask that you let me know and give me credit when you want to use the story for something. If anybody feels like making fanart based on the story, please tell me, cause I’d love to see it.
